I help people change their lives by connecting them to opportunity and turning uncertainty into a clear, confident plan. Hi, I’m Bogdan “Bogey” Matuszynski, founder of iSERVE Coaching, an international education and mentoring initiative supporting students, young professionals, and mission-driven organizations navigating college admissions, scholarships, fellowships, and purpose-driven career paths. If you or the students you work with are seeking guidance on admissions, scholarships, or next steps, you can learn more or schedule a free consultation at [www.iserveinternational.com](https://www.iserveinternational.com)
The goal is to create a short but powerful session on with 2 extraordinary people who view the world through a slightly different lens. No cringe moment tomorrow...Bogdan fixes resumes. Birgit fixes excuses. Pick your Rotary Peace Fellow. Just 2 more of 1800 educated by combined funds of global Rotarians. Did you know the first 2 years of WE Rotary most of our speakers were Rotary Peace Fellows? Thanks everyone for showing up for non politics in the season of midterm elections in the USA!

VISION: To create a just and peaceful world by nonviolent actions.
VALUES: To inform and to form community based on understanding, honesty, integrity, focus, and actions.
IMPACTS: To celebrate the results of our fellowship-specific efforts and the results of the collective efforts from a worldwide community dedicated to peace and global nonviolence.

A board member's family was influenced to create a peace petition in his Massachusetts community. Petitions are a great way to promote peace. The Welsh Women's Peace Petition of 1923 gathered nearly 400,000 signatures, roughly 7 miles long to send to the UN.

One of the co-founders of our Fellowship, Mike Caruso (who passed away on July 13th) , united his Rotary club & community to celebrate peace. In 2011, he founded Rotary Peace Builder clubs; in 2024, the Oregon PeaceFest; in 2025, the Fellowship 4 Global Nonviolence.

The earliest we can influence our children to feel empathy, understanding, resolve conflicts peacefully, we can build a strong culture of peace. From preschool (photo); children can share lunch with the homeless; work in a soup kitchen; interview veterans.

Since 1963, the world has spent over 800 times more on preparing for, executing war & post war restitution than it has on global peacekeeping. JFK was not alone in his quest for peace. Find them and vote for leaders who support peace. They are out there.

This is a moment of extraordinary opportunity. Our key threats are wars and climate change. Learn more about what you can do.

Not all of us are ready to face off against a bunch of masked fully armed dudes. Find out something you are willing to do and do it.

Both positive peace and confronting war are part of the same equation leading to sustainable peace. We know war, but what's peace? It's hard to work towards peace if we can't visualize it. What's your vision of sustainable peace?

There are thousands of peace organizations and yet wars and their intensity are increasing, as is our climate crisis. Models predict that by 2100 these cumulative impacts will devastate the planet. What can reverse this dynamic?
Before, during, and after wars, the military is a significant contributor to the impoverishment of people, to our climate crisis, to the destruction of our environment, and to the rise of AI and data centers (land based & orbital).
Colonialism exists for reasons of natural resource extraction, religion, captive markets,...often enslaving indigenous populations. Is decolonization a myth - is colonialism still present today under the radar & in a different form?
Militarization impacts the environment and climate in all three phases of war - Pre-war, War, and After War. The military is one of the largest consumers of fossil fuels. They are also one of the largest polluters of land, sea and air.
For nearly 300,000 years, modern humans' existence & all life have been based on an interdependent natural system to provide a stable climate, clean air, clean & abundant water. With a little help Nature can mitigate harm.
Communities show resilience, nations with no militaries prosper, refugees create networks, religious leaders speak out against war, the UN continues to support peace with dwindling resources....

At 4 Global Nonviolence, our Board members are either Rotarians, Rotary Peace Fellow Alumni or both. We are guided by the 4-Way Test. Our commitment is to enable actions resulting in positive and measurable impacts.

During the 2025 Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Alberta Canada, we presented our Fellowship to Rotarians. Our Vision was well-accepted and we pushed forward to develop a Fellowship to serve as a place of learning and doing.
